Program Digitalisasi Sekolah Akan Didukung dengan Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru
SekolahNews – Natuna, Program digitalisasi sekolah akan didukung dan ditindaklanjuti dengan peningkatan kompetensi guru, khususnya di bidang penguasaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Hal ini karena guru merupakan ujung tombak dan penentu keberhasilan program digitalisasi sekolah untuk mempercepat terciptanya sumber daya manusia Indonesia yang unggul, seperti yang kutip dari kemdikbud.go.id
“Kunci berhasil atau tidaknya program digitalisasi sekolah ada pada guru. Jadi kompetensi guru harus baik. Guru harus belajar tiap hari baik bersama instruktur, belajar sendiri, ataupun belajar dengan koleganya dalam asosiasi guru,” kata Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Muhadjir Effendy saat meluncurkan program digitalisasi sekolah di Gedung Srindit Ranai Kabupaten Natuna Kepulauan Riau, Rabu (18/9/2019).
Peningkatan kompetensi guru merupakan program prioritas Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) yang terus ditingkatkan kualitas pelaksanaannya. Peningkatan kompetensi guru dilaksanakan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan Kemendikbud. Program ini akan dilaksanakan berbasis zona dengan mengoptimalkan peran kelompok kerja guru (KKG) dan musyawarah guru mata pelajaran (MGMP).
Menurut Mendikbud, peran guru di era revolusi industri 4.0 semakin penting dan vital. “Guru tidak hanya mengajar, namun sekarang guru harus menguasai sumber-sumber dimana anak-anak bisa belajar. Anak-anak bisa belajar dari mana saja, dan guru mengarahkan,” kata Muhadjir Effendy. Dengan kata lain guru berfungsi sebagai penghubung sumber belajar atau resorce linker.
Guru juga berperan sebagai fasilitator dalam pembelajaran. “Peran guru memfasilitasi, mencari narasumber yang relevan, siswa harus belajar dengan siapa, kemudian memerlukan fasilitas apa,” ujar mantan Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang tersebut.
Selain itu, peran guru yang juga sangat penting adalah sebagai penjaga gawang informasi atau gate keeper. “Informasi mana yang membahayakan harus dibendung oleh guru. Ancaman kita semakin lama sangat besar, pengaruh ideologi yang bertentangan dengan Pancasila,” kata Mendikbud menambahkan.
